98... 99... $100 Off!
I am almost to the 100 Fan mark on Facebook. That's pretty fun :) No, they are not all clients, and most of them might never be. But they are all supporting me somehow, helping spread the word in the Facebook community, and that means so much... I appreciate all the friends and family (and even strangers) who are fans, so thank you all! My existing fans obviously aren't eligible for this one, but don't think that I don't appreciate you.
As soon as the 100th person clicks "Become a Fan" (I know, it's a big commitment... lol) I am giving them a great big discount, should they choose to accept it! This is meant for new clients, so if you've already hired me, chances are you are already a fan. If you are the 100th fan, after you spend the minimum $100 on prints/products, you get $100 worth of additional prints/products for free! Sounds like a good deal... and now you can splurge on that storyboard or canvas wrap!
And to show some love for the first 99...
In addition, I will give a free 8x10 to the next one of my existing fans who hires me for a session.
Sorry, but I can't combine this with any other discounts I have floating around out there with anyone.

Downtown Girl
Last week Sandy Morrow and I went downtown to take some photos of various places and people, including each other. She and I went to high school together, and it's been 10 years! Although we weren't close friends back then, we had a great time wandering around and catching up, as well as talking about all things photography related :). She's also getting seriously into photography (planning on starting a business in the future), so I am sure we will be spending some more time together soon!

This was one of my favorites - something about her hair, and the angle is just so pretty...

I love her yellow shoes - too cute!

We were actually heading out of town and ended up at this beautiful location near the train tracks... time to get the cameras out again!

Check out Capturing Subtleties, Sandy's blog, where you can see more of her work... although I believe she is in the process of making some changes to her site!

Skaters | Rosa Parks Circle
These guys downtown were doing their thing, minding their own business,
and I just had to ask if I could take some pictures!
Lucky for me they didn't mind.
For some reason it's just so fun to try and take photos of skater kids, and I gave one of them my card, so they can check these out...
Thanks guys!

I didn't have quite as much luck getting shots of this guy, but I ended up with this one of him working on the kick flip. Although it's not technically the best photo, I wanted to include everyone!

Wedding Day | Lisa & Josh
Saturday I had the honor of working with Lynell of Lizzie Weddings at the wedding of Josh and Lisa! I had a great time getting to know Lynell, talking, laughing, taking photos, enjoying an absolutely gorgeous spring day in Michigan. My goals were pretty simple: to try to get a better understanding of what goes into photographing a wedding day, take some beautiful images, to have fun, and learn more about what I can do to improve my photography. I think the day exceeded my expectations in every aspect!

This was one gorgeous bride!

There are so many more photos I am very proud of,
but these are a few of my favorites, for now.
Thank you Lisa and Josh for being gracious enough to let me be a part of your day. It is easy to see how crazy you are about each other! I hope for all the best for you both! Thank you Aletha, for letting me borrow your ShootSac! Mostly, thank you Lynell for letting me come along with you. Your work is stunning and your advice is so valuable to me.
